I've got a Dualit burr grinder which does fine for my pour over. They are about £80 new, but you can get good used ones on ebay for about £40, which is how i picked mine up. Won't go fine enough for espresso, but pour over / french press it's ideal.
I tend to recommend that £40 Dualit to people who want to grind their own for anything other than espresso and who aren’t coffee dorks, just need a tool for the job. They’re perfectly adequate and a big step from pre-ground.
