I'm with you on this. I had a hario hand grinder which was great, but I can't taste the difference and this is just a push of a big button. If you're not at the using mineral water and monitoring water temperature stage of coffee nerdism, I'm sure the Dualit is fine.
I would always recommend some cheap scales with a timer too though. Makes a big difference in being able to follow a "recipe" and is not much more effort than just dumping some water in the top.
