  • Maybe spend similar money on a hand grinder, they are smaller and you might get a better quality grind for the price?

    It also really makes you feel like you've worked for that coffee

  • Honestly, I just think I'd be less inclined to use it and I very much doubt I'd be able to taste any discernible difference in grind quality... At that time in the morning I don't want to do much beyond press a button...

  • I'm with you on this. I had a hario hand grinder which was great, but I can't taste the difference and this is just a push of a big button. If you're not at the using mineral water and monitoring water temperature stage of coffee nerdism, I'm sure the Dualit is fine.

    I would always recommend some cheap scales with a timer too though. Makes a big difference in being able to follow a "recipe" and is not much more effort than just dumping some water in the top.
