Will an 11 speed road shifter and mech work as 10 speed on a 10 speed cassette? Can’t think why it wouldn’t as gaps betweeen sprockets are same?
The gaps are not the same. 3.74 vs 3.95 mm steps.
A 4700 shifter (uniquely) will make an 11 speed mech work with a 10 speed cassette, because its shift steps are specifically designed for it.
Damn, thanks for that info but annoying news for my spending.
