Curious. Didn't somebody upthread say that their supermarket was sold out of all pasta apart from the slightly more expensive stuff with Italian writing on?
Just been into my local Tesco and ever single packet of dried pasta has gone, apart from the spaghetti that only has Italian writing on the packet. Surely this is coincidence!

I was gobsmacked, there were other seats

That was me - Brixton Tesco. I don't think it was price related, but speculated that shoppers were put off by it being "Italian", or they couldn't work out that it was pasta

That 'unless' box really doesn't belong there, and seems to risk confusion.

My local, Tesco was also bereft of dried pasta, that and eggs.
Because eggs will store well when the apocalypse comes.

I can see the confusion. Could be anything.

Regarding the "days behind Italy" comment upthread, I found the attached graph very illuminating this morning.
It's from this tweet:
https://twitter.com/MarkJHandley/status/1237119688578138112
Basically says we are 13.5 days behind Italy.

First it was Chinese food, now Italian food! What is next!? We will all starve at this rate!
Thank god for our saviour in Lord Whetherspoons where I know the food is English and safe!

What I couldn't figure out is why Japan is so different in that graph.

I’ve got a months worth of Huel at home and about 5kg of peanut butter.
Not bothering with bog roll.

Also think the US picture isn’t accurate.
Anyone seen similar graphs for tests?
Feels like we are ahead on that font...? -

paris is a shit version of london with even ruder people
Not true. I always found the locals way more civilised when for instance getting into an elevator or taking the bus. Just 2 examples.
and more dogshit
Also not true. The pavements are cleaned every day (in the posh areas at least), with moto-dogshit hoovering up all the little fouling left by the lil'cute pooches.

Years ago a tube train seat was sent off for laboratory analysis.
Apart from the usual suspects i.e. all human bodily fluids, faeces ,skin, hair and rat urine/faeces. Metals, brake dust there were unidentified fungi found.
You lot worry about coronavirus yet every day you conduct your daily business on those seats .... eat, drink, lay on them etc......
Not me, our cabs are grubby enough thank you. -

Can I buy some now, I have split skin because of all the extra hand washing and alcohol gel.
Alcohol gel on dry cracked hands is bracing.

I now have a plentiful supply to release onto the black market, as long as I can convince people what it is

Its the same at my place in Canada. We don't get sick days, they get rolled up into our paid time off. Nobody has explained whether, if we had to go into self isolation whether we would get paid leave, have to take it out of our PTO or take it unpaid yet.

Leaving the crap there all day, rather than being binned by the owner as it is here 99% of the time. Its gross.

I recall that was debunked and way more than years ago, more like decades.

Urban myth maybe, but we regularly lift seats during training, Bakerloo were the worst I've seen, dead rat, a human turd and plenty of loose change were the highlights I've personally seen.🤢
Yep ! I have actually seen someone sitting next to a seat on fire, get the hump when told to get off because I was taking the train out of service. Tbf was only a very small flame !
This is our latest advice for a person ill on a train......
