Anyone have a tool for the 41mm Shimano external BBs like this? SM-BBR60 is the model
I am in NW10 so would have to be fairly near. I have the one for the slightly larger 44mm type ( thanks to @hamrack ) but there’s an adapter apparently? Or if it can be had cheaply online, I’d buy it, just hate to get it for a one-off...

In fairness, Most of the newer model external BBs from Shimano that you can buy now will use the smaller diameter interface. You need tool TL-FC25 to use the older tool.
You can still buy some BBs that use the larger size, I think the lower end (Tiagra, Deore) still do.
The new tool would probably get just as much use as any other BB tool.
Only reason I don't have one yet is that I haven't had to fit a newer BB yet! -

You can get a cheap plastic adapter on ebay.

Not a bike tool, but anyone got a carpet hoover cleaning thing I could borrow for a couple days?
-
• #1490
The adaptor comes with each BBR60 or its equivalent. Got loads of them and yeah have a couple going spare if you wanna pop by SE1. Or drop by your friendly bike shop and ask them if they'll spare you one?
