Turning 30 next month I had decided some time ago to furnish my aging self with a Rolex to replace the Apple Watch and be more “suitable” for a shirt and tie worker now.
Obviously been looking at the used market but thought I’d enquire on the waiting list for a submariner that I’ve fallen in love with.
6 years.
Knew it wasn’t a short list but 6 caught me I must be honest.
I paid a little over list for mine, it was less than 30 days old when I collected it.
I don't like the situation, but it's a case of hate the game really, and the dealer I bought it from said he'd buy it back for the same price in a year so at least you are insulated from depreciation due to said game.
Be interesting to look at what the likely price rises are going to be over six years vs paying overs now.
Anyway, I reckon you can find one for a reasonable price for your 30th birthday if you are so inclined.
