Lost my father to pneumonia complications so as the first positive case in my town is confirmed its definitely triggering my anxiety badly. I live in Cheltenham and work in Bristol so the advice not to travel by public transport is concerning me but I am not sure there will be an opportunity to work from home, need to talk to managers.
Its frustrating that in France gatherings over 1000 are being banned and sporting events postponed or cancelled and yet here in my town with a confirmed case (so very likely to be others not yet detected) we are about to have 200,000 people descend on the town from all over for the country and world for the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
At first I thought this would be another false emergency like swine flu but I have just been watching it getting closer and closer, and it looks like even if you don't get it there is going to be huge disruptions to daily life for months to come.
