Clipping in is quite different. Once in they have quite a bit of - configurable - free float.

You need to be careful with carbon shoes and CB stuff. If the tread of the shoe sits above the contact points on the pedal, the pressure sits on the sole and the wings of the butterfly springs which then wrecks the sole.

Bought a saddle from Amazon, tried it, no likey, want to return - I snipped the cable tie that connected the saddle to the manufacturer packaging-board; will this void my return or am I overthinking things? Orrrrr could I just put a new cable tie on and hope for the best?

Think they’ll accept it either way- if it were my I would probably be cautious and reattach with a new cable tie -just in case

If you want to overthink it thoroughly, read the distance selling directive. Technically, you can only inspect a mail order item to the extent that you would be able to do in a physical shop before rejecting it on grounds of changing your mind (i.e. it's not defective)
On the other hand, Amazon DGIF, it costs them more to argue than it does to just take stuff back.

Which way? 28C on a 25mm internal rim is going to come up to over 30mm wide in most cases.

I would expect them to be true size on 17mm rims, whereas GP4000s were true size on 15mm rims. On a 25mm rim, they're still going to be wider than nominal.

Will post up what I discover..

My sample of a 28c gp 5000 (not tl) on a 20mm rim is 29.5mm wide (at~80psi)

Sounds like typical letting agent bullshit. If you're named on the certificates, can't you just make a subject access request? (And even if not, you're meeting their bullshit with some of your own...)

It’s unknown if anyone is named on the certificate- no one has seen it. I wouldn’t think that anyone would be as it’s for a 63 flat block.
