• I was in Italy over the weekend and now having to wfh home for the next two weeks. I feel fine and wasn't in the North, so I'm ok to go about my normal life right? The decision to have me not come in to work is my employers.

  • I don't think so unfortunately

  • Don't know to be honest.

If you read in the news about someone who'd just come back from Italy and had been sent home from work, and then went on as usual around London instead; you might roll your eyes about it. Can you get tested somewhere?

Edit: after typing that I realised how hysterical it sounded. You should know the risk factors - the fact that you're seeking confirmation suggests you do. If you weren't anywehere near the outbreak in the North, and are showing no symptoms then I'm not really sure you should stay locked in a room.

  • That's the current advice, yes. Might be prudent to give it a couple of days of not going out too much just in case symptoms develop though.

  • A colleague of mine and his wife were skiing last week in northern Italy. Got back yesterday. Both are feeling fine and are expecting to be back at work tomorrow, as out management are following official government guidelines.

Will find out tomorrow if that has changed.
