Had anyone read anything about the validity of implementing age based quarantines? Surely a quarantine of more at risk people (partly defined on an age basis ) would reduce the number of severe cases and make load on health services more manageable? It would also allow better economic continuity , and allow the virus to circulate amongst the working age population who are less likely to become severe cases and, if that confers immunity, create something of a firewall against further spread.
It would surely make sense to put in far greater restrictions and to reduce age of that given the risk profile. Government could then take measures to support people (e.g. free contact numbers for delivery services etc.)
