• So over the next few months I'm going to be updating a few of my bikes, Mainly my Brooklyn V1 Track Gangsta and my old 26" DH bike which will be getting some modern updates to hopefully keep up with the current crop of 650b and 29".

    First on the agenda is the Brooklyn is getting a front disc brake.

    Mount brazed on and then eventually a set of Wound Up's i think, Phil Wood disc hub with a Deep V rim and Shimano Saint disc brake with a 160mm disc and getting rid of the V brake thats currently on it.

  • It's in about 50 bits in my Parents garage, I started buying bits for it last year and will finish it this year. Gonna change it so the dimensions of the bike are similar to the current crop of WC bikes

  • Its always had a love hate thing with people on the internet, it was one of the best DH bikes id ever ridden at that point as the geometry was so far ahead of others at the time.

    The guy that made them was a crack head and thief tho so sorta ruined things.

  • I should have two, the M10 but he stole the money after it was ready years ago...

  • He made a bunch of early versions of the bikes and the M9 was the first one that he made a production run of, was about 10 or 15 made of the M9 then he developed the M10 and I was getting one of them too, he was always slow with delivery but had always come through as I sold 3 in the UK at that point but yeah he ended up fucked me on that one and blamed others at the fault of it.

    Made a great bike but sadly as i said fucked it.

  • Sorry to hear about that second bike (that obviously I didn't know about), it wasn't my intention to make fun of your misfortune.
    Unfortunately though it seems that it's a story that repeats itself in one form or another on a regular basis.

  • Dont worry about it, one of those things that happens. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose but the bike industry does seem like it full of people who can do it and get away with it.

    Worse when your in the UK and they are in NZ half way across the world.

  • The Lahar is incredible.

  • The wheels on the Lahar will be getting rebuilt, the rear uses a specific hub made for the frame and was looking at carbon rims.

    Pick up this on eBay tonight for decent price I think too should look good if I I can get a rear to match will desticker it tho!
