  • buy some brand new Shimano hydraulics

    I would only consider going down this route if you're prepared to tolerate brakes which work straight out of the box, keep working just the same until you wear the pads down to the backing plates, then work like new when you replace the pads, without bleeding or any other maintenance, for about 20 years.

  • Sounds awful and totally unbearable. Think i might have to try it.

    Is that true for all Shimano brakes, or only a few models? Had my eye on the XT M8000 model.
