Marin Bear Valley SE, size Large, £15

I have this old Marin Bear Valley SE available if anyone wants a project...

See pics for sizing, but I would imagine it's a Large.

The seat post is stuck and the headset needs seeing to. The rust is mostly surface and would wire brush up well for repainting.

Comes with Seat QR and brakes, as pictured.

Yup, I’ve got an SE and the frameset is light-as. Great platform for a build.

Edit: Just read the Pedalroom notes. Crimping and brazing a section of steel pipe to fit 3.0 tyres is rad. I have some 2.3 knobblies that won’t quite fit as stock, I am really tempted to get crimping : )

By the way, I have all the parts from the bike (excluding wheels).. a complete 7 speed groupset, bars, stem, saddle, etc. It all was in working condition. You could have the whole lot including the frame & fork for for £50 if you want.

It may be possible to find it cheaper online elsewhere though... as the frame itself (and components if you want them) will fit into a smaller box that a complete bike.

It's Shimano 7 speed shifters, RPM crankset, UN53 BB, SRAM 7 Spd shifters (from back in the day when SRAM and Shimano played nicely together) and Dia Compe 7 levers (pretty rough condition on the levers).

Who did buy this? Don't suppose they want rid of it? ;)
