Strongly advise against, won’t be as effective as actual hand sanitizer, in fact likely to be worse.

Coronavirus is an enveloped virus so all you need is alcohol or a surfactant (i.e soap) to break down the lipid layer.
Just use soap.

Was going to try this recipe. Any thoughts?
Complete waste of time. Government advice is to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and use hand sanitiser if you can't do that.
One of the reasons for this is that the mechanical action of soap and water is much more effective at removing bad stuff from your hands.
Would the idea be to use this at home? If so, why not just soap and water?

Annoyingly the large one I have next to mini-H's nappy area is almost out and the current panic has meant even the ones I ordered from Amazon have gone awol.
Was going to try this recipe. Any thoughts?
