  • My steerer has been cut too short. With the stem slammed the steerer only reached halfway up the stem. This means only the bottom bolt is clamping.

    I think I know the answer but is there any chance this is safe or is there anyway I could make it safe? It is a carbon stem and steerer.

    The answer, as you obviously already know, is that a new fork is the only safe solution. Certainly don't take advice from anybody who thinks Hambini is worth listening to. Somewhere in my stem caps thread you'll find the explanation of why the steerer should terminate above the top of the stem.
