I had a case years ago when a major bank refused to give a client details of a transaction on his own account due to 'data protection'. They looked rather embarrassed when the judge asked which section of the Data Protection Act they were referring to. I helpfully gave their barrister a copy of the whole Act as an aide memoire. I'm nice like that.
I imagine that it's the building fire certificate - they often compromise the data privacy of an individual if shared.
