I had a case years ago when a major bank refused to give a client details of a transaction on his own account due to 'data protection'. They looked rather embarrassed when the judge asked which section of the Data Protection Act they were referring to. I helpfully gave their barrister a copy of the whole Act as an aide memoire. I'm nice like that.

I think I may have had a similar thing with the allocated car parking spaces at our block. There was a minor dispute over whose was whose so I helpfully ( I thought ) stuck my deeds copy of the parking map on the communal notice board.
The building management company asked me to take it down - something something about 'security' ?
I imagine that it's the building fire certificate - they often compromise the data privacy of an individual if shared.
