Agreed sounds great. What's with the single braze on attached to the driveside stay?

Phwooooar mate I have a lot of time for DY bikes. My first ever track bike in London was a DY frame in Champagne Pink. It was one of the colours on his selection list and it's beautiful IMO. Lovely whip you have though, looking forward to it built up. T

Not sure. Maybe a dynamo? Might actually email Dave Yates as sure this wasn’t some standard build

Cheers. It’s certainly a strange one, in a good way.

I sold the Campag sheriff stars for the cost of the total sale so don’t mind spending a bit in it. It had a very nice World Class BB in it which id never heard of before but will also into the coffers for the new build.

Somebody here might confirm, presumed it was a MTB think I wasn't aware of. Looks in great nick. One vote for drop bars!

Thanks all. Just remembered the rims which are Ryde Andra 40 in black as recommended on here .The Paul brake levers are also black so maybe might look for a black chairing to also match up. But will go with the Royce to start with.
Thinking some flat pedals but want something slightly elegant rather than very MTB’ing suggestions welcome.
Also I’ve emailed Dave Yates himself to find out a bit more about this frame

Definitely more MTB than road but been touring on Superstar Nano-x EVO pedals for the last year and can't fault them. They're not too chunky.

Thanks. They look good. Nukeproof neutrons look ok too if anyone had an opinion on them?

damn this looks cool, excited to see it built. I vote risers!
So picked this frame up last year. Bought partly as had a pair of Campagnolo Sheriff star hubs on it, but also as looked awesomely different.
It’s Reynolds 531, made for 26’ wheels but with a rear 120 spacing like a track bike but also has eyelets for Mudguards. My now route to work is literally over the marshes from E17 Stoke Newington. So not exactly off rd but some gravel.
So far I have the original DBAD Paul canti’s and flat brake levers. Plus nitto bars and swept bars.
Also in reserve the m-10 nitto, randoneur drops and tektro brakes.
Phil high flange hubs-some 26 rims I can’t remember what they are.
Phil BB, some sugino 75 with a Royce 47t, plus a WI free hub with 17/18 teeth I think.
Also have a CK grip but the stronglight in there now is smooth so will probably stay.
The seatpost was stuck when I bought it but the seller got it removed, and reamed. He gave me a nice NOS use alien post, which I might keep as the nitto 65 one I bought seems a little tight in it.
Tyres will be cheap conti contacts atm.
Sure lots will change. Need also some mudguards and front rack.
Not massive fan of red and silver but in good condition. Part of me wants it in something like hot pink if all works out
