Am I going to have a bad time if I ride my low trail fork bike without a front load the majority of the time?

Nope.

You simply get used to it (like a Brompton which also have a low trail).

My advice is to have a bag strapped on all the time, so it's always there.

I don't want to have to ride with a(n empty) bag because the bike would ride badly otherwise. But maybe that's low trail for ya.
