Yeah. The modes on the X100 (at least on the S model) are nice in theory but aren’t that well implemented.
It has min shutter speed on auto ISO but doesn’t allow you to set anything faster than 1/125.
To get around this, the dials are great for working in manual with auto iso, but then it doesn’t allow you to change exposure comp so you might as well shoot in A/S/P.
Perhaps these are fixed in more recent models ?

@Dammit I'm using multi for metering. Tried average and it gave a similar result.
@Well_is_it DR is set to the default of 100%
Annoyingly, exposure comp doesn't work when you're shooting in manual with auto ISO as I would of been quite happy to leave it set on -1.
I'll try shooting with it some more to make sure it's not user error...
