That could very well be it.
There's a shortfall in Norn Ire for public transport (Translink is a government owned company btw...) can't wait for the cash to come in now that London doesn't get it anymore ;)

E-bike cyclist cleared of killing Hackney pedestrian
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-51707616
A cyclist has been cleared of killing a pedestrian while riding a
modified e-bike in Hackney, east London.Thomas Hanlon, 32, was accused of "going way too quickly" when he hit
Sakine Cihan in Kingsland High Street in Dalston, on 28 August 2018.He was acquitted of causing death by careless driving and driving
without a licence at the Old Bailey.Jurors took just over an hour to reach their verdicts in what is
believed to be the first prosecution of its kind. -

Mr Hanlon's defence barrister Claire Howell argued that Ms Cihan had
"ran out in front of him".She added: "He is going straight along a straight road on a sunny
clear day when he has got the right of way and he can see the lights
have changed to green and he's just moving through."His reactions were quicker than many confident and careful drivers in
the time it took him to react to her stepping out, which suggests he
was keeping a good look out." -

Good job they had brakes fitted to their illegally modified bike I suppose
-

I keep reading this:
The court heard Mr Hanlon's modified e-bike was travelling at more than 10mph over the 20mph speed limit.
... but never anything on how they ascertained this, apart from one other cyclist being an eye-witness? Does anyone know details?
As to the actual case, it is pretty clear she ran out in front of him, but at the same time I'm not entirely sure what would justify going at that speed either - if that was indeed the speed he was going at. Is he still going to get into trouble for the act of using a motorcycle without a proper license and insurance (as he technically would have been if he was going at that speed due to the limiter being off), or was that basically it now?

The summary of the case sounds quite similar to the Charlie Alliston one (stepped out in front of them, "illegal" bike). I wonder why the different results.

Maybe fella stayed off LFGSS.

Sad to report the LB Hillingdon harbours two Tory strongholds,
Ruislip, Northwood & Pinner,
and the philandering liar's very own Uxbridge & South Ruislip.
LB Bromley might have Tory MPs as well. -

It does.

Maybe fella stayed off LFGSS.
Would rep.
Wonder if it was something along the lines of the bike being considered ‘roadworthy’ where Alliston’s was not.

On the one hand, what an asshole. On the other hand, this is basically serial killer stuff, except he only collected other people's bike saddles instead of their scalps, so maybe it could have been worse?

Is that... Dominic Cummings?

Didn't Viz once describe "garbooning" as a hobby that's more frequently named than practiced.

"he only collected other people's bike saddles instead of their scalps, so maybe it could have been worse...
...your honour. The defence rests"

So Tommeh has been charged for apparently "restraining" a so called nonce with his fists. Right wing instantly saying it's because someone molested his daughter in a swimming pool at Center Parcs, in full view of everyone, including the rage filled midget.
Center Parcs share value must be plummeting-who the fuck wants to holiday and risk being slapped about by some permanently enraged member of the EDL?
-
• #59946
Didn't see that level of detail but I did see the news of the arrest.
Centre Parcs has loads of staff on hand all the time - especially in the pool area. It's a family place and pretty much everyone is very chill. Sounds like a dumb place to kick off as there will be CCTV everywhere.

I would of found it far more inappropriate if you had of been at Butlins.
Nnnnnggg!

"The Parc y Shwt toilets, which closed at the same time as West Street, have been declared surplus to council requirements and will not re-open."
Parc y Shwt, I assume, means park and shit in Welsh

Center Parcs is an open prison run by Wetherspoons.
He's never gong to get any more London Mps than he's got (only Kensington and Westminster?). What reason does he have to help local MP's for stuff like roads around here?
Edit: although that's a bit of a petty arguement to make, given most of the money available seems to be spent in London. Not sure why this VED isn't.
