Have to say that's really nice. Great pictures as always.

Looks top! I take it you're pleased?

Fantastic!

Very nice

Don't commute on it!

Ya, one always tries.

Only took it down the river on Sunday, it was super windy so I didn’t really take it for a proper test ride tbh. But really nicely dialled in and surprising how crisp the 8 speed DA shifts for it’s age.

Ta!

More importantly don’t lock it...EVER!!!

Looks like it should shrug off wind with dem aeros.
Dura Ace is timeless.

It nearly made me take off in the air when the crosswind caught me by surprise.
Yeah, it’s definitely grown on me, I think if I was upgrade anything it would be the brakes from a single pivot to a duel one (aka DA 7403)

Ha!
-
• #614
But don't you currently have the single pivots with arms that move on a thrust bearing? (Rather than a bushing). They are supposed to be decent if so.

• #615
Don’t understand that question, but they are good brakes tbh, just annoying if they’re not centred and also the braking force is mainly from one side (apparently)

Looks ace. Needs cray cray retro Look pedals.

I had the 105 version of them with them brake blocks and yes they were not that great so I change them for the 9000 brake pad and shoe what a diffrence .

Make sense, granted I probably would get some swissstop bxp flash pro instead of the 9000, as I’ve recently put them on my Brompton and they stop wonders. (Granted they ruin my rims quicker)

When I first saw this thread I thought it all seemed silly. I still think that, the bike looks nice though. Good job.

Silly how this thread unfolded to this place in time now. But the thread does make sense (to me anyways) to make this bike eventually what we call a ‘Sunday best bike’

It's actually really nice (sans the ergo stem). Hope you get some good summer rides out of it (no commuting allowed).

Looks fast (pun not intended), even the flightdeck shifters look inplace
-
• #624
Sweet, looks really purposeful.

Indeed, just need to fliddle with the positioning this weekend with some gentle Kent lanes hopefully.
