It nearly made me take off in the air when the crosswind caught me by surprise.

Yeah, it’s definitely grown on me, I think if I was upgrade anything it would be the brakes from a single pivot to a duel one (aka DA 7403)

But don't you currently have the single pivots with arms that move on a thrust bearing? (Rather than a bushing). They are supposed to be decent if so.
