  • Thanks all. Good to know something decent can be done for £3-5k.

Anyone got any inspiration pics of their finished projects from that sort of price range? Apologies if they've already been posted and I've missed them.

To each their own, of course, but I can't imagine paying in the region of £20k + for a kitchen. If I had that kind of cash it would go straight onto an overpayment on the mortgage...

  • Here’s mine from sales listing

  • We got an Ikea kitchen done recently which was definitely closer to £4k than £40k and I like it a lot.

PM me and I'll send some pics, as there are a few features that the forum kitchen police don't approve of so I can't post pics more widely.

  • Here's mine, which was £3k. We left the floor tiles as we liked them:

  • Just done ours - here's before - and (just) before it was finished. I spec'ed ikea units/doors (£2.4k) but the builder did a deal with a mate at magnet for the same price. The quality is about the same i would say - ie - perfectly decent. Total cost including strip of old kitchen/floor/ceiling was 8k (not including appliances). Solid ash worktop, Industrial vinyl floor, plain white tile.
