Bob Jackson tandem 70s/80s

Up for grabs is this beauty of a tandem.

Frameset dates from around the 80s going by my research online, previous owner had the bike refurbished with chrome F&R Dropouts and new paint a few years back. In great overall condition with a few marks here and there.

Frame has a very nice ovalised keel tube which I think I show well in the photos, extremely well finished brazing throughout.
front and rear braze-ons for panniers which can allow touring use.

Built up with a nice selection of parts including;

TA tandem cranksets
X2 Brooks saddles (one is a professional)
Cinelli bar and stem up front
Shimano 600 brake levers with shimano cantilever calipers
Tandem specific wheelset - true rims and hub bearings are smooth
Shimano deore LX derailleurs
Shimano friction Shifters
Rear hub has a hub brake

Bike is in full working order, ready to hit the road. (chain fitted on the rear since photos)

Asking price £600 collected. I am in Scotland so pretty hard for a test ride for most you folks..

i am 5'11 and fits me nicely up front.

Shipping should cost around 50 quid, which is much less than i expected.

Nice! We have a 70s version of pretty much the same, except the stoker seatpost is curved around the rear wheel, really light and striking. Don't drop your price, they do sell just take time and can guarantee the perfect buyer for it is in Devon or somewhere miles away! Glws
