  • I remember the day they were closing the servers, i was gutted. Many big battles with the dominant PBO clan that day.

  • I finally managed to persuade one of my mates to play Borderlands 2 and now he's mad hooked on it, right as BL3 is about to drop on Steam. Enjoy playing that old game on your own, buddy!

  • I wasn't massively sold on BL3 when I tried the free weekend. Felt like it has lost the spark of the previous game. Be interested to see how you get on with it

  • Feel like I want to revisit Project IGI.

  • botw soundtrack is all a bit fucking stockhausen meedely deeps.

    i like it.

  • Bugger, that's not what I want to hear when I just spent mad stacks on a spangly new laptop for it.

They lost their lead writer between 2 and 3 though, so I guess that might be part of the problem. Have been strenuously avoiding spoilers since it was released and I'm not hyped out of my skull about it anymore as a result, so if it's a bit disappointing then I'll feel ok about it, I reckon. Maybe.

  • The rock town has some sweet jazz in places. It's great.

  • find the nearest mountain and spend 4 hours trying to climb up the side of it in the rain rather than go around it in 10 minutes.

    #sandboxpromoves

  • Then get to the other side and realise it's snowy and you've got nothing to deal with the cold and no way back.

  • And so your dastardly plan of getting a mate stuck on an older, inferior game while you lorded ladied it over him from the sunny uplands of being into cooler things earlier fell to pieces in a heap of crushing failure.

  • Enjoyed the combat in Fallen Order so went out and bought Sekiro on the basis of this comment.

    Bonus MGS3 is the best.

  • Installed The Last Of Us remastered, forgot all about the opening prologue and been kicked in the feels.

  • kicked in the feels

better than getting shot in the stomach

  • Does anyone here play R6 Siege on PC?

    Yes!

  • FF7 remake demo out now on ps4.

  • Can't wait to try this out tonight

  • Me too! I finally got round to pre-ordering the full (first part) game the other day too. I'm tempted to buy a second hand ps4 pro just for it but it feels wasteful when the ps5 is out this year too.

  • I really enjoyed that game, EXCEPT there was one bit where you are upside down. I got so stuck on that it was rage quit. Until one night I was showing the game to a friend, we'd been drinking whiskey and managed to do it (while slightly seeing double).

One thing I really liked from GTAV and stuff, is where it sees you are stuck and offers to let you skip that part so you can continue the game. More need that (obv. not things like Dark Souls that would ruin the whole game)

  • So far, my favourite thing about it is this music:

Still finding the gameplay decent, but nothing spectacular. 4 worlds complete, so let's see where it goes, here's hoping to more great music.

  • Alien: Isolation:

    • terrifying
    • fantastic graphics
    • great atmosphere
      Am enjoying
  • And an amazing musical score too

  • This was interesting but the boss fights are just total chaos. not sure I could hack an epic games worth of that. especially as the others just sort of crack on when you're not controlling them so while you can issue orders it also feels like you're the younger brother playing with the unplugged controller while someone else handles the actual fighting.

also the x button opening a menu goes against some kind of muscle memory i've built up while gaming through all my years and i hit it all the fucking time. in their wisdom it doesn't pause movement but it's still fucking annoying.

  • I know what you mean. I played it through a second time and beat the boss in half the time, it was so much easier when I was used to the controls. It's definitely a step up from ff15 which ended up with each fight mashing dodge or warp.

x button opening a menu goes against some kind of muscle memory

At least you can press X to select stuff in the menus and not O like it used to be.
