    Plus I don't need something super fast. I don't want something super sluggish either, but I should probably be prioritising 'reliable family car' a little more.

    The small petrol engine C-Classes don't have a great second hand value, so that could well be a good move.

  • That shape c or e class with 2.0 or super charged 1.8 i think you get in some of them are pretty relative, very much not fast, not great on fuel but not much goes wrong with them other than squeaky bushs, battery drain and charging issues. The face lift ones dont rust unless accident damaged, drive good and have aged well internally (no daft touch screens that stop working), not big though, a golf estate is larger in the boot
