Seasonal flu has a case fatality rate of around 0.1%. This has an estimated case fatality rate of around 1%. That is a massive difference.
Well I wasn't comparing the fatality rate, merely the occurence. As I say mainly my impression from reading a some articles. Certainly a few I've read are pretty fatalistic about it.
