I used to have that exact model! Wore it every day for absolutely everything for years - was so battered all the silver had worn off, the blue surround was chipped & the display hardly readable by the end (one of the lugs snapped off so I think it went to watch heaven)!

Bit dark.

Does this ad sound sketchy?

It's incredibly badly written but looking at the feedback he seems to sell a lot of watches. Weird that he doesn't know that watches have a *bezel.

Just looking at some of the past auctions, they were listed quite well in comparison. Seems a bit odd.

What are you worried about?

I decided to cross grade my watch to a Seiko 5 Sport with Pepsi dials.

Is there a shop I can go to in London to mod my old SKX007? I like to get a sapphire double dome, new dials, and maybe bezel fitted.

Not sure, really as ebay/paypal is so strongly in the buyers favour.

I guess the writing style and 2nd class postage make it seem dodgy, but then all of Ricky's points make sense.

Not in London, but I'm sending my watch to this guy to get the movement upgraded. Although I'm not sure about the skx007 hands I bought working visually on my skx013

Can't post multiple photos for some reason.

Now thinking about black hands to visually shrink the hands. The white lume should keep it legible. Otherwise straight hands similar to the one you posted.

Someone have their SKX009 finish with a patina which look pretty nice, black dial is what you mean to make it look skinny?

I just laid the aftermarket hands on top of my watch to see what I think of them. I'm probably not going to use them so would be happy to sell them.

No, I mean black hands so the metal part is painted black, rather than silver as stock, or white/orange like the aftermarket ones pictured. Mine is slightly smaller, so I think the full size hands crowd out the dial a little. Hence the idea for black as it would be the white of the lume that provides the visual contrast.

Tried to capture the wicked weather in Halifax today... No can do... So annoying.
