  • Thanks @mdcc_tester, just gave that a go but still the same noise.

    Having a closer look it’s the inside of the chain rubbing against the cog. So that’s a chain line issue? Looks like the chain needs to move like 2mm inward toward the wheel.

    So could I add a bigger spacer between the bottom bracket and crank or hub and cog?

  • Did you change something recently? Worn cog? Worn chainring? Bent chain ring?

    The chain looks 1/8" and the cog 3/32" so some movement is expected.

    Also, chain line seems off, crankset/BB is too long.

    No it just arrived yesterday, brand new, so nothing should be worn and I haven’t changed anything.

    Would I have more luck then if I switched the cog to 1/8”? Or if the chain line is off, will the outcome be the same regardless?
