I seem to be watching Endeavour. It's the prequel to Morse, set in 60s? Oxford.

If you start from the very beginning, S1, it's pretty good with some real slow burn character development. I thought the last series had possibly peaked and gone over the top by the end. Will get around to catching up with the latest series this w/e and hopefully I was wrong.
