Lady Ottoline - upstairs room, is Nth Central. Excellent food.
My 2 .5yr old was contained.

@Mishk this is a top suggestion. It's my go to for Sunday lunch, it's very good, they do platters with a whole bird, and I've seen big tables with many kids on many of my visits.

You can book too.

Upstairs is a good shout.

I got food poisoning from there after being served some bad lamb.
It was 7 years ago, but I can never and WILL NEVER FORGIVE.

You have do something pretty wrong with lamb to give someone food poisoning from it.

Going to try and get in at The Prince...

Had beef wellington for the first time in the white bear in Kennington yesterday (valentines meal with the missus) and it was glorious.
Actually fall of the food we had was pretty good. Will go again.

I'm off to the Saatchi gallery to see the mummies midweek in a couple of weeks time with my parents. Where can we go for lunch afterwards nearby?

The various cafés at Duke of York Square seem to have a few vegan options (some are quite good, actually)--not sure whether you might find them too pricey:

Admiral Codrington pub is nice.

Pub looks nice but their chips aren't even vegetarian.. pffffffft :P

I also only just remembered from a post by FGV that Wulf & Lamb, a vegan restaurant, is on Pavilion Road, not too far from the Saatchi Gallery. Mixed reviews on Happy Cow, but often praised:
