Pity about the set back for the build, but the tyres and tubes has arrived so we are pretty much all go. Just shame about the lack of frameset.
On the side note, big rep to @seco for providing these amazing 3D printed bushing for the DA brakeset. The quality is amazing. Big thank you!!!

Still hurts and I do miss my Canyon, but watching latest Hambini’s video maybe is blessing in disguise I guess.

jesus what a cunt .. this is why @fussballclub should buy a Canyon

I can't watch Hambini videos because I hate him.
Is it about how modern Canyon carbon frames aren't durable and people should buy artisanal French carbon from the 90s instead?
-
• #584
he uses phrases like 'canyon factory is full of chavs' etc.
plus the usual engineering quantification of why does an $80 frame in china have to cost $2000 in the west etc.
naive, stupid

Hambini’s video .
Cock can’t be arsed to even caption his video.

I thought Hambini was a dick before it was cool to think Hambini is a dick
Also anyone who sends him a frame rather than getting it sorted the non stupid way is a dick.

I quite like him.

I think once you put aside the BS of his personality and rants, he does have some valid points regarding the cycling industry to manufactures on the frameset the public gets vs the pro.
But the thing for me is more how he highlights the problem and more importantly how he eventually resolves it too.

Nevertheless, regarding the 90’s frameset. Got an email from CBR and they’ve completed the repair/respray and it is ready to be collected this weekend.

Did they says what was the issues with it?
-
• #593
More cosmetic than sturctural.
The only concern was the rear stays where the carbon met the aluminum drop outs where you can see/feel the slight crack.
They've mended this and also any areas where the paintwork was chip or damaged from the chain scuffed along the chainstay and BB area.

That nearly always been the case, since for the last I don’t know, century.

Bottom bracket shell isn't ovalised then?
-
• #598
I dunno, but the damaged around the BB was when the chain dropped from the chain set and caught between the chainset and frame.

Alright, Hambini.
Masking tape doesn't seem like a very professional repair
