I try not to read much into form at this time of year but that was impressive stuff indeed.

Any idea what Grand Tour(s) Adam Yates is targeting this year?

The Tour apparently.

I'm not convinced of his three week credentials, he seems more suited for hilly, week long stage races. But fourth at the Tour in 2016 shows he can do well if it all comes together for him.

A 4th previously and still only 27, harsh assessment.

He’s started 8 GTs and has finished in the top ten twice. His brother has started 9 and has a win and three other top ten finishes. Compare with Miguel Angel Lopez who has started just 6 GTs and has 5 top ten finishes.

I don’t think my assessment is harsh.

Anything sprint, individual as well, they're really on a roll the last couple of years. It surprised me tbh, after Wolff left everybody seemed down & out but Haak really did a good job.
