Carbon Copy Cloner. Two bootable backups, one kept offsite, rotated each week. That’s as well as Time Machine.

I was thinking of using superduper, and having a bootable backup alongside the time machine back up.
Then turning one of my old hdd's into a bootable backup, which sits somewhere gathering dust.
Then probably buy another external to back up all the media/music/big files (4tb maybe)

Yeah that works - SuperDuper is great a well, I used it at my previous job to make bootable backups and it was always flawless.

HDDs are dirt cheap, so just get a couple of new 2-4TB usb 3 ones.
