  • Right, yeah that's a slightly different watch, they're both with a blue dial and very similar in size but different case designs. SBGA375 is spring drive (hence power reserve gauge), 44GS style case, the one I'm more interested in is the newer SBGH273, hi-beat movement, 62GS style case (no bezel) and the gold seconds hand.

I did try the SBGA375 on a while back, remember quite liking it but I wasn't wild about the bracelet style. I was hoping the 273 would be a bit smaller but reading the spec, if anything, it's a hair thicker.

  • Late reply but generally no. There will be a bit of variance between provinces as the rate of GST varies but generally stuff in Canada is 30% more expensive than it is in the states. I guess it also depends on your currency exchange.

Where in Canada are you headed?

  • I've noticed that luxury goods are more expensive in Canada than the UK too.

  • Yeah. Gorgeous.

  • Definitely would.

  • Here's a slightly annoying but well shot video.

The level of polish is insane, the OP has warmed me up to shininess a bit but this is like ten levels above. I kind of forget with GS, it rarely comes across in still images. Would probably be scared to wear it for fear of that first scratch.

    The dial looks wonderful though.

  • Reminds me of Pulsar from Live and Let Die. What is that?

  • Is that a Diesel? I have a Diesel LCD from the late 90s/early 2000s that I absolutely loved. Asymmetric, retro futuristic thing, Milanese strap. I’ll try and find it.

Edit: like this one. Had an indiglo type backlight.

    and the finger prints.

  • I haven’t seen a Grand Seiko I didn’t appreciate. This one though, must be in like top 2 nicest for my eyes, where the other one is like £50k...
How much would this set you back? What a gorgeous watch...

  • I'm in Miami. Wire me the cash and I will buy one for you from the Seiko Boutique here.

Joking aside, I just called the store and they do have one in stock. I will try and go there tomorrow and take some photos and do a review for you.

  • Legit check on Reddit. 😂

  • Ha, please do.

  • RRP is in the region of $6k (USD), so regular GS money really. They’re not limited edition, just a US exclusive collection.

  • Thought there might have been some reflectoporn trolling involved for a minute, turned out to be the guy’s hand.

Best bit is the bezel numerals off a Seiko Monster.

  • Yeah, $6300. 'Bargain' on that guy versus the competition IMO.

  • Timex Falcon Eye

  • The fave

  • Baselworld looks to be missing all the Japanese marques this year.
Seiko, Grand Seiko, Casio and now Citizen and Bulova have pulled out (due to some plague affecting the world)

  • This is tempting.

  • Top gun ...... in red

  • Wait until you see the back of it...

  • Is a Vestal Dolby.

On the Storm / Fossil band wagon circa millennium. 😎
