I'm pretty sure that's a "just finished build" shot of that bike (the Bearclaw). Seems like a waste of time to critique everyone for taking a picture of their functional bike before they've ridden it for 3+ years.

Looks like it's relatively new + new wheels: https://www.instagram.com/mason.danner/

yeah. I remember chatting with the guy on another forum, and him having a different frameset for a while there.

i mean it is bourgeoisie but it is hard to argue that it isn't functional. lights, mudguards, a big 'ole bag, low gears.
i do like the workin' man vibe though, so some aversion to fancy functional bikes is appropriate imo.

That just took me over a minute staring at the pic to work out what he did. Good skills. Cool bike too

Functional in the sense that if you pedal it, it will move forward?
I guess?humming "George of the Jungle"...

Space behind the seat tube is screaming for a frame bag.

Very cool. Needs moar fork leg braze-ons, you could get at least 3 manything cages on each side.

You don’t need mudguards if you’re not near the wheels...

i can never understand how you get on and off these things. do you have to use a step? what do you do at junctions?

For those who like the idea of a mini-velo but without those pesky small wheels

Looks perfect for Shrewsbury (important when you live in Shropshire) where 100 year floods are happening about every ten days...
