Any suggestions?
9-speed is the same roller width as 10/11-speed, you'll be fine using 10/11-speed chain on 9-speed rings

Good to hear. From reading elsewhere I had gathered that it would be a nobrainer with 1x but that people ran into issues with 2x. Maybe lack of derailleur setup... thanks tester!

I want to turn my 2001 caad 4 from a 1x riser dad bike/hybrid into a commuter road bike. Plan is to buy a modern, second hand 105 groupset, replace the bb and use some drop bars I've got in the shed. I've never replaced a groupset on a bike before and I understand that Cannondale can be a bit strange with the standards they use. Is there anything that's likely to trip a total novice/ moron up?

Thanks! Yes Spotter, track forks with flat crown on a road bike is so sexy!

Hi all. Bought this for what I think is a good price. Was considering the standard SuperSix Evo 105, but when I made a list of all the things I wanted to upgrade, this second-hand one made more sense. Sorry for the NDS photo: Spidering 10-arm 53/39, Si cranks, full DA 9000.
Tyres for Open Pave CG (25 or 27, maybe green/black, undecided - Opinions on if a 27 would fit this 2016 25.4 seatpost frame, and be a good match with Ksyrium Elites?).
Would ideally like black Shamal Mille wheels, but no need right now and no spare cash.
Probably leave the Cannondale alloy bars as they are.
Stem for a longer 3T ARX Team 120mm, red stripe.
Fabric tape for Cinelli Gel Cork (maybe also in red).
Saddle swap for carbon Antares (when I can afford), and Aliante for the moment.
Dura Ace 9000 pedals, King Ti cages (already have).

I don't think 27's will fit but it depends on how wide the tyres actually measure up on the Mavic rims, unfortunately that's impossible to know without testing them.

Finally found the time to build it up, need to take this out asap!
(and take some better pictures after I get that tower sawn off)

I can confirm that 27 mm Pavè CG tubulars fit 2013 SuperSix Evo — just! I don't know if the 'open tubular' Pavè on Mavic rims will come up any bigger, but I doubt it.

Proper!

Finished. Needs a shorter stem. Pretty happy.
Perfect for coffee shop runs and leaving in media office communal stairwells.
Here's a shit pic.

Is there a “the Ultimate thread about 1x drivetrains”? I need some advice about what chainring to get.

Needs pink mtb grips on the drops to match the bags and ano imo.

Anything as long as it's anodised natch.

Ha. I kinda want a purple ano stem
I have this 90s mtb tripple I would like to convert to a compact double. I can only seem to find 9 speed 94 bcd 5 bolt chain rings (30-46 ballpark) Would ideally like 10 or 11 speed. Any suggestions?
