They're round so Stan's and Muc-Off should work the same. I'll get the valve swapped at some point but I'd prefer not to hose myself down with sealant.

How bad was your taping job?

I thought it was ok, there was good contact all the way round. Currently it is hidden by the tyre so will take off the tyre and check. It was pretty cold when I did it so maybe the adhesive has not gripped well enough.
