Part of the problem is that it was a bit too shiny and did not grab me like the Zenith Defy Classic in blue with titanium bracelet. Or a Glashutte Original Seventies.
No real reason why, just gut reaction.
I did like the SBGK007G. Manual wind and a good dress watch.
I also find it hard to get past the 'just a seiko' attitude as well. In this AD the GS were on sale next to the rest of the Seiko range and it detracts from the GS brand IMHO.
Best thing though is take yourself to AD in knightsbridge and try it on. Some of the GS range i like, but this one I did not.
Interesting that it was on sale at an AD in Asia given they're supposed to be US-market exclusive. It definitely wasn't the SBGA375? Those are very shiny indeed. Well, they all are, but the big flat mirror polished flanks on those are especially eye-catching.
