• Ok so the guy I'm buying a frame off is bugging me via email asking for payment to his bank account instead of through ebay. I've asked politely for him to send me the total amount incl shipping via ebay instead but so far he seems unwilling. I'm not desperate for the item, thinking I'll wait until he agrees to settle through ebay as otherwise I'll be fucked if the frame doesn't show up, right?

  • Nah, fuck that. Stinks of you not getting what you pay for.

Don't reply to the emails, just message him through ebay, say ebay have told you not to pay outwith the system socan he cancel your sale. Even if he doesn'tcancel the sale eBay won't give you a non-payment mark if the seller is asking you to settle directly.

  • Don't reply to the emails, just message him through ebay,

Doing this now and copying in his emails in my ebay replies, so far no response. He's also bumped the shipping cost up by £10, claiming he'd misread the courier's dimension limits. Why do people behave like this over a few pounds, seems like a lot of effort for not much gain?

Edit: seems the guy is (hopefully) just an inexperienced seller. I've now had to send him links to ebay FAQ on how to invoice me etc
