lol, joe biden is such a useless thin skinned fucking chump. if this is how he reacts to a fairly tame question from a democrat, imagine how hard he'd blow up in the face of whatever outrages trump would visit upon him.

The fact that the DNC were prepared to throw their weight behind this guy only goes to demonstrate how prepared to lose they are.

The DNC would rather lose to Trump than allow Bernie to become the nominee. Luckily it's starting to seem like he has enough momentum and popular support to roll past their fuckery.

100%. Jon Schwartz wrote an article some time ago about what he calls the Iron Law of Instutions, which basically I think is basically the primer for understanding anglo-american politics in the last decade. The whole article is totally worth a read, but boils down to:
The Iron Law of Institutions is: the people who control institutions care first and foremost about their power within the institution rather than the power of the institution itself. Thus, they would rather the institution "fail" while they remain in power within the institution than for the institution to "succeed" if that requires them to lose power within the institution.
This is the DNC in a nutshell. They already blew up the Iowa caucus to prevent Bernie taking a victory there. If he takes the nomination then they are going to go to full ratfuck mode.

The Iowa caucus has about a 50% track record in making the same choice as the final nominee - of either party.

Bush Sr. beat Reagan in Iowa in 1980 before becoming his running mate. Ted Cruz beat Trump in 2016. But Reagan did far better than expected and so did Trump. No one reads much into the winner, it is the overall performance of the entire field that is more important.
tl;dr - LOL at Biden

^^ The DNC were floating rule changes and general antics before Iowa results were called (see the Politico link below). If they keep Sanders from a majority overall (of delegates) … whilst that would likely be a massive lead over second place they can still declare the nomination ‘undecided’. In a 2nd round bought ‘super-delegates’ will largely decide the nominee. It’s blatant and shows quite a disgusting disregard for democracy. But (as they themselves have said) they’re not really a public body. They’re pseudo-private. And can do what they like.

Declared-interest: I think I make £300 if Sanders gets the nomination.

Bloomberg has surrogates on the DNC Rules Committee, Standing Rules and Bylaws Committee:
Last week, the DNC eliminated the individual-donor threshold for candidates to qualify for future debates, paving the way for Bloomberg to appear at the next debate, which will be held on Feb. 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The change came directly from Perez and the Rules and Bylaws Committee members did not give any input or hold a vote, according to multiple people close to the matter. Sources reported that the decision was announced without a roll call vote of the around 430 DNC national members, most of whom learned about the change for the first time in the media.
Bloomberg donated $320,000 to the DNC on Nov. 19, 2019 in three donations of $106,500, as well as $800,000 that same day to a joint fundraising PAC between the DNC and state Democratic parties. It was Bloomberg’s first donation to the DNC since 1998, reporter Alex Kotch found, noting that the DNC’s $28.3 raised in the fourth quarter of 2019 lagged far behind the $72.3 million brought in by the Republican National Committee.

Will we have U.S. mainstream media screaming to the high heavens about a foreign power "promoting laws" in the States and interfering in their national & foreign policy?
My guess is no.

Maine's decision to impose unique burdens on ISPs' speech—while ignoring the online and offline businesses that have and use the very same information and for the same and similar purposes as ISPs—represents discrimination between similarly situated speakers that is impermissible under the First Amendment.

Given that that Twitter account is now the de facto mouthpiece for all US domestic and foreign policy, hacking it would be quite the coup.

Poor Peter, just when he probably thought he'd seen it all ... :)
(I have no idea if he'd ever think that, but he must have more reason to than most.)
At any rate, Trump probably won't reTweet today's action.
