• my guess is that carbon is jangly on the bones and more expensive. so probably alume-min-num? carbon would be cool though, it might impress other Rival Dads. not steel. do they even make steel mtbs anymore?

    I wouldn't think so. Howard's FSI seems to have loads of compliance engineered into it

    Well yeah, the alu Grand Canyon gives you better components for the same pice, but is almost 1.5kg heavier
