Great spec, although very much a 'winch & plummet' type bike
I'm unsure of Kent's topography, so no idea if that sort of bike would suit

That wheelbase is freaking me the fuck out.
I have no idea at all about MTBs, this reminds me of the time in 2011 when I went into BLB asking about Aerospokes. That's how clueless I am. Other than hardtail, lighter for longer distance riding and shimano only (@skinny has spoken so I'll listen) I have no idea where to start.
MTBs are cheap to maintain tho right? I can replace the chainset on my fixie for £50.
