I can ask a mate at work on Monday for you. He ultimately bought a TV as well.
However, one thing I do know is that you can't watch it in the daylight - no matter what a review might say.
Is it realistic to think I can keep a projector on a shelf?
Yes, although you can also get ones that can go very close to where the effective screen is.
Research is a pita as so much online stuff is from across the pond and usually not overly useful.

Considering a projector for the living room but I have no idea where to even begin.
Figured for the amount of TV we actually sit down and watch at home the projector would be nice.
I already have the 2 floor standing speakers so I'd like to use them if possible.
