Thanks for flagging this up,just bought one for my"towpath" commuter.
Another £5 off if you register as a new user 😉 -

Got mine today, came with a BB as well, megabargain.
Think it's a return or something, crank was a bit scratched and BB threads were dirty and seemed almost crossthreaded.
Any my god they're ugly. Still, for £30 really can't complain.

Cycle Surgery (Kings Cross branch) is closing down and has a 50% sale on all items. Has been on for some days now but still has decent branded items (clothes, components) and bikes.

Cycle Surgery as a whole is closing down. Been told that they'll be dropping prices on everything over a few weeks and then everything that is left will be sent to the Spitalfields branch where they'll get rid of it all. Unsure how true that plan is though but keep an eye on any of the shops really.

I have friends who worked for Runners need, and their stores shut over the past couple of years. Blackfriars (also a cycle surgery) and the Canary Wharf one.
Part of the same group.
Sad times for all involved

Sad times but when they serviced my Cannondale back in 2013/2014 they didn’t do a good job, and everything I bought on there back then was overpriced and staff were a bit... ehhh. But still sad for the staff.

I have used DIY crown race installation tool (aka water pipe) for years but found cheap Radon Crown Race Setting Tool 1" and 1 1/8"
https://www.bike-discount.de/en/buy/radon-crown-race-setting-tool-1-and-1-1-8-523734
Not bad for 20€ but don’t expect Park Tool quality.
Sorry, didn’t find better place to post... -

SuperstarComponents still have the Road50 code working. Just picked up a set of 650b gravel wheels for £120. No valves or tape but then...

Cheaper than my last set...
-
• #3822
I must have got the last one as they’re no longer available. With a bottom bracket too but no Haribos? Cheers for the heads up.
-
• #3823
Yeah, so cheap we didn't deserve the Haribo.
@Alan_tbt I got some of these too for £140 https://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/element-v6-wheelset-uk-made-hubs.htm
Haven't had a proper ride yet, but they seem nicely made, up there with Hunt, etc. The freehub is really nice and clicky without being obnoxiously loud. -

Just a couple of points on Superstar-
I had a pair of wheels with Pacenti rims that they refused to replace even though Pacenti was replacing the rims.
Then I bought a chainring for my Race Face cranks which then had to be returned under warranty, so I bought a set of XT cranks and then they refused to exchange the chainring because I was over the return period.
So, fuck em.

Bad bad Superstar. Time to tweet or gram this?
Arrived! Advertised as 'Right rear' 'left front'.... They've got bloody quick link things! No bleed required and a lever swap is child's play. Happy, happy days.
£134.98 all in. Good spot, thank you. I can now afford a £100 battery 😂
