  • One of my colleagues has one of them. I adore it but there is no way I could ever drive a car that does about a mile to the gallon. Regardless of the price.

Edit: just sent him a text. He gets about 19 miles to the gallon.

  • Yeah, it's totally ridiculous.
I was wondering how many of the 190mph top speeds it could produce off road

  • That's roughly what my C Class estate does, tbf.

  • Where are you based?

  • I'm in Camberwell, se5

  • Have you heard the thing?

I'm by no means a petrol head but the Urus does make me go a little wobbly at the knees.

Ideal family car. Comfortable and obnoxious.

  • Oh yesss! What a noise!

Also check out the jeep trackhawk for noisy family buses!

  • Tate modern - turbine hall exhibit.

    So Tired

An artists wandered the late night early morning streets of shoreditch, looking at the people they saw and taking photographs using the camera obscura (filter on their latest iphone). After months of this project the artist notice the found objects around the picture were these. So the projected morphed in to a collection of the found art with a multimedia aspect included in the exhibition.

  • Ordered a Renault Zoe (new one) today through the wife's work scheme. First electric car.

With the kid due in July, this should make the multitude of short trips she will make in the year off much more cost effective than the range rover. Longer trips with us both will still be in that...

With 0% BIK tax, it's super cheap; coming in at less than £300 a month for the top of the range one with all the options. Also comes with a free 7Kwh wall charger install.

Unlikely to arrive before May but that's still in time for the impending arrival of mini me.

If it's useful, i'm tempted to switch the range rover to a Model Y towards the end of the year, once they're available in the UK.

  • 84mph max speed

Not sure I'd want to take that on the motorway anyway. Electric is definitely feasible for town runaround cars. I'd love to see a future where electric engines can be retrofit easily to old shells. Best case scenario for the environment

    Yamaha Electric Crate Motor

Apparently they've opened the order books for this. Not sure on the price?

  • I have halfords trade card.
Can get good discounts if you want

  • nice work all round T.

  • Something like this in an OG mini shell is my dream project

  • Yeah - definitely. Luckily both mine and my wife's parents live within 40 mins of us and the quickest way to both is through A or B roads with max 60mph.

We might end up doing 10-15 miles on the a14 from time to time but that won't really be an issue.

  • Cheers mate. Exciting times.

  • Is the max speed a gearing issue? Most electric cars are single speed so have excellent acceleration but run out of oomph sooner than an equivalent powered ICE car (besides the Porsche Taycan which has two gears).

    and

    https://electricfiat500.com/

and when the time comes I would maybe consider doing that to my 126 - though think the mechanics in mine might long outlive the chassis/body

  • Teslas can do >250mph so its probably just a cost cutting thing. You definitely don't need to do 80+mph on the motorway, I just feel like having the option to get out of trouble would be safer

  • I'd have one in a Frogeye Sprite any day but it would definitely make for a great little town car!

  • Crack me up that Taycan on Top Gear.

Because of higher voltage there are only 4 sites to fast charge in UK.

    Otherwise it is a day.

    Oh shit I forgot. 😎

  • those burnouts <3

Binky must also be less than a year away from completion by now surely...

  • Do you know how the boot space of a Mondeo would compare to similar estates? I'm looking to fit 4 people and as much musical equipment as possible in.

  • He gets about 19 miles to the gallon.

    Lucky fucker. I'm averaging 17.7.
