So is an SKX007 still the light entry option or should I take a gamble on something like the Phantom on Kickstarter by the folks at Hamtun?

It's a great watch. I was lucky enough to get one off here.
The new Seiko 5 Sports in the same style as the SKX are the current equivalent. There are still some SKX floating around but they’re not made anymore.
The 5 Sports range aren’t “proper” divers watches but they are better finished and have a better movement than the SKXs.
