After battery, and carb clean, consider high quality fuel (for the detergents) like Shell V-Power, and a large bottle or two of Redex. This, plus two or three occasions of carb cleaning (once by the mechanics, then twice by me using carb cleaner spray) is what got the Suzuki GN125 running consistently well.
All the critics may have their right to say it regarding Redex and snake oil, but I genuinely saw a difference after a few refuels of Shell and Redex. Quite certain over a few hundred miles it helped clear any engine gunk.

What do people reckon I’ll need to do to get a scooter (Yamaha Vity 125) that’s been sitting for 14 months running again? New battery definitely. Reckon filling it with fresh petrol will be enough for the fuel system?
